ISO 9001 is not easy - or is it?

What are the steps to ISO 9001?
These are the 5 Easy Steps to implement ISO 9001 and achieve ISO 9001 certification:

Timeline to ISO 9001 Certification

Step 1: Getting Started
You are actually already getting started with your ISO 9001 implementation project as you found this website.  Next you will...
  • familiarize yourself with ISO 9001 and the ISO 9001 implementation project,

  • provide basic ISO 9001 training to the ISO 9001 Management Representative (the person that is responsible for ISO 9001 at your company),

  • develop a plan for your ISO 9001 implementation project and set a target date for ISO 9001 certification,

  • select the ideal ISO 9001 registrar for your company's individual circumstances, and

  • introduce your company's management and staff to the ISO 9001 project.

All the tools you need for this step are included in our All-In-One Easy ISO 9001 Toolkit™:

Step 2: ISO 9001 Documentation Development
Developing the ISO 9001 documentation would be the most difficult step - if you don't use good templates.  ISO 9001:2008 requires that you develop the following documentation:
  • Quality Policy
  • Quality Objectives
  • ISO 9001 Quality Manual
  • ISO 9001 Quality Procedures covering the following ISO 9001
Requirements: (1) Control of Documents, (2) Control of Records, (3) Internal Audit, (4) Control of Nonconforming Product, (5) Corrective Action, and (6) Preventive Action.
  • Process Flowchart

The ISO 9001 documentation is very important.  All documents have to meet the numerous stringent requirements of ISO 9001:2008, they have to be complete, and, of course, they have to be error-free.

All the tools you need for this step are included in our All-In-One Easy ISO 9001 Toolkit™:

easy! all templates for the entire
      ISO 9001 documentation,
easy! detailed customization
      instructions.

You'll be able to quickly develop your complete set of error-free ISO 9001 documentation.

Step 3: ISO 9001 Implementation & Training
Implementing ISO 9001 at your company will involve your company's employees.  You will base the ISO 9001 implementation on the ISO 9001 documentation that you so easily developed in Step 2.  You will do the following:
  • train your company's employees in key ISO 9001 requirements,

  • introduce the use of new time-saving forms to employees, and

  • have employees review and fine-tune their own work processes and write their own work instructions.

All the tools you need for this step are included in our All-In-One Easy ISO 9001 Toolkit™:

easy! templates for work instructions,
easy! all important forms and
      checklists,
easy! employee newsletters,
easy! PowerPoint presentation.

Step 4: Internal ISO 9001 Audits
Conducting an internal ISO 9001 audit is not only required but it will also help you verify that your company's new ISO 9001 quality system is operational, and that any shortcomings are identified and subsequently corrected. Your ISO 9001 implementation doesn't need to be complete when you start your internal ISO 9001 audits; in fact, your audits will help you with the ISO 9001 implementation!  In this step, you will
  • set up your internal ISO 9001 audit program, and

  • perform an internal ISO 9001 audit.

All the tools you need for this step are included in our All-In-One Easy ISO 9001 Toolkit™:

easy! audit instructions,
easy! audit checklists,
easy! audit report.

Step 5: ISO 9001 Certification
Achieving ISO 9001 certification is your goal, and now you are only one step away from it and its many benefits.  To pass the ISO 9001 certification audit, you will:
  • have your ISO 9001 documentation audited (passing this part of the certification audit will be easy as your documentation is based on our templates),

  • prepare your company's employees for the on-site audit,

  • pass the ISO 9001 certification audit, and

  • help your company get the most marketing benefits out of the ISO 9001 certificate.

And now your company will be able to enjoy the various benefits of ISO 9001 certification - see below.
